Ontario Anti-Trafficking Networking Event

Hosted by Legal Assistance of Windsor, the regional meeting will happen the day before the Forum on International Migrant Trafficking and will include:
- Networking activities
- Discussion on human trafficking cases, challenges and best practices for service provision, and experience and interest in systemic advocacy campaigning
Who should attend?
Service providers, anti-trafficking advocates, migrant rights groups interested in sharing knowledge, learning about local and national needs and trends, and getting involved in advocacy campaigning.
Other stakeholders such as government, NGOs, law enforcement and the legal community interested in fostering discussion and collaboration.
Since 2003, the Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) has provided leadership and support at a national level for NGOs concerned about trafficked non-citizens, including women, girls, as well as other vulnerable communities in Canada
About Legal Assistance of Windsor and WEFIGHT
WEFiGHT provides direct services to survivors of domestic and international human trafficking in the areas of forced labour, sex trafficking, and forced marriage. In addition WEFIGHT:
• Develops effective community strategies in collaboration with organizations who may provide assistance
• Provides education and awareness building to general public and service providers
• Advocates for systemic change with provincial and national partners
If cost is a barrier to attending the networking event, please submit a request for a travel subsidy stating your name and organization. With your request, please answer the following questions: Why you would like to attend the meeting? What you hope to share with other participants? Please note that we will only be able to offer a limited number of travel subsidies.
