The Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) is delighted to invite you to a groundbreaking event, Breaking Barriers: Unveiling the Provincial-Territorial Scorecard on Economic Abuse. This event aims to shine a light on the issue of economic abuse and its impact on victims, as well as unveil a comprehensive report card that assesses the legal framework and policies across provinces and territories in Canada.
Economic abuse is a critical aspect of intimate partner violence that often goes unnoticed, leaving victim-survivors underserved and unprotected. Through our Provincial-Territorial Scorecard on Economic Abuse, we have meticulously evaluated existing laws, regulations, and policies to identify gaps in the societal response to this form of abuse.
This virtual event will take place on Tuesday, September 26th, from 12:00 to 13:30 EST, providing a platform for policymakers, advocates, service providers, and stakeholders from across Canada to come together. We aim to deepen our understanding of economic abuse policies and collaboratively work towards building a more secure and empowering environment for survivors.
To participate in this important event and contribute to the crucial conversation on economic abuse, please register through our Eventbrite page. For any inquiries or further information, please contact Natalie Snow at natalie.snow@ccfwe.org.
