You are invited to join Lambton College’s Research & Innovation Department’s webinar on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. This virtual session will be focused on presenting the results of the research project “A Coordinated Response to Assess Human Trafficking in Terms of the Problem, Prevention and Empowerment.”
Is Human Trafficking a problem in your community? Join us for this webinar as it explores the problem in the city of Sarnia-Lambton, Ontario. This two-year research project examined the problem of human trafficking by interviewing over 300 participants from four key demographic groups in the community including; Community Service Providers, Survivors, Lambton College students and the three local Indigenous communities. Topics covered will include; risk factors, trafficker’s luring strategies, challenges faced by the survivors, gaps in service delivery, strategies on prevention and empowerment for survivors of human trafficking. These research findings were collected from the courageous voices of the survivors and the wisdom of the communities. There will be an opportunity for a Q&A at the end of the session.
