Human Trafficking in Tourism: Lessons Learned
11 February @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pmFree
Too often companies in the hospitality and tourism industry are being used as unwitting perpetrators of human trafficking around the world.
Join us at the Ted Rogers School of Management to hear the story of how Blue Mountain Resorts were involved in a human trafficking ring and the lessons they learned once it was discovered. This will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Rachel Dodds, a leader in issues surrounding sustainable tourism development. The panel will consist of James Henry, VP, Hospitality from Blue Mountain Resorts and Lyndsay Mulholland, Sr. Program Manager, Operations representing MPAHT (Meeting Planners Against Human Trafficking) discussing the issues.
